RIP Jim Ladd

Alternative Rock Radio has lost one of its greatest champions.  Jim Ladd lived for the music, spoke out on behalf of the music, and guided his listeners to material they would never have heard on conventional radio formats.  He was a pioneer in the rise of FM Radio and album-oriented broadcasts.  He was a rebel, early and late, who believed that there was merit in songs that were not commercial “hits” and, often under threat of expulsion, he bravely stood his ground and created his own playlists.  He was one of the last of his kind, and he will be remembered and missed.  RIP, Laddie.
